The 48th BT Young Scientist Exhibition to begin on Wednesday, January 11th.
Now in its 48th year running from Wednesday 11th January to Saturday the 14th Dublin’s RDS will be this years venue for final of the BT Young Scientists & Technology Exhibition. This 4 day exhibition will showcase the work of over 520 students in the fields of science and technology, all of whom are taking part in the final stage of the competition. As well as offering a chance for all students and young scientists of the future from across the country (both North and South) to showcase their many talents and ultimately compete for the prestigious title of BT Young Scientist of the Year and a host of other awards the event promises to be a
Both students and visitors alike to the RDS will be both informed and entertained by the vast selection of scientific and technology based exhibits and interactive shows on display not just in the main arena where the competing students work will be showcased but in four additional function rooms in the RDS, with extra exhibits and entertainment shows provided all in mind to deliver a fun filled and educational and above all entertaining look at the sciences in Ireland.
Catering to the many aspects of the 4 day extravaganza from all aspects from the daily lunches of the judges to the 3 main awards dinners and functions will be leading Dublin based corporate events and banquet caterers WithTaste. Whilst providing the lunch and dinner for the Judges daily they will also bring their largescale corporate events catering experience and gourmet menus to the events main awards ceremony and dinners with the 3 main highlights of the week: the Awards Reception on the 13th as well as the Corporate Family Day dinner and the Awards Gala Dinner both on the final day, Saturday the 14th.
These three functions look set to celebrate with and honor the winners and participants of the 4 day exhibit and competition. The first the Awards Reception will take place on the Friday with 190 Guests while on the final day, WithTaste will cater to the two main highlights of the exhibition, the Corporate Family Day dinner for 160 children and 75 adults and the Awards Gala Dinner for all 225 selected guests. Along with the exhibits and tough competition provided by all participants this years renewal looks set to help showcase the future of Irelands young upcoming scientists to the full.
