LONDON (July 14, 2010) — American InterContinental University (AIU) London exhibited a collection of outstanding work from recent graduates of the schools’ visual communications programme at the annual Designers and Art Directors Association (D&AD) New Blood Festival. The only international university to exhibit, the collection featured works hand-picked for originality and diversity from 11 students originating from more than five countries including the USA, Italy and France – providing a snapshot of the talent produced by AIU London this year.

The New Blood 2010 exhibition of the UK’s best advertising and design graduating students took place at the Old Truman Brewery, Shoreditch, as part of the Free Range season between Thursday 24 and Monday 28 June.

As New Blood returned to east London, networking with the industry was the hot topic. Local agencies and studios are getting involved with a series of events to give new graduates the best possible start to their professional careers.

Gill Coupland, AIU London dean of visual communication and associate vice president of academic affairs, said:

“New Blood was an important event as it provided an unparalleled opportunity for us to help our students showcase their work, network and work placements with some of the UK’s most revolutionary agencies, studios and brands.”
