Chef Michael calls it the next step towards being an all around culinary personality. Social Media is zeitgeist. Being media savvy has always been one of chef Michael’s strong points. Finding another media aperture which he can use to tell a culinary-related story was just a matter of time.

Aventura, FL, December 13, 2010 — Now Michael is announcing his new column on Examiner dot com. This column called “Cooking in Miami” is going to become a part of his next book that will be released this winter. His new book – “Culture of Cuisine” – will cover what it is like being a chef, the ideals a chef has to be endowed with and how to snatch that sought after “Top-Chef” claim.

Miami has always been a hotbed for America’s new societal pulse. Michael became aware of a new appreciation for South Florida’s culinary-based social media architecture while working on his third cook book. He has used the internet exclusively to cull and distribute information for article writing and researching food particulars. He found after interviewing multiple chefs, he knew that the internet was where he ought to go for increasing his interface with reciprocal Foodies. Using the Internet, Michael found he was capable of penning articles at a moment’s notice and the complexity of sifting through the information and the time involved to accomplish it bore the idea for Michael’s next book. This chapter – Social Media and what it means to you – was written to highlight the “must-haves” and the “have to do’s” for any disorientated restaurant-working soul.

The chapter highlights what has to be in every chefs arsenal; including the BIG FOUR…..Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and personalized and business ‘Blogs. A chef’s Social Media anxiety is solved with just a few dedicated hours of internet savvy and tips from this book.

About the Author
Michael Bennett is a well-known as well as an award winning Chef of the Year – American Culinary Federation-1994, Top Chef-2009, 2010 – Gold Coast magazine South Florida chef and his past clients are a “who-who” of multi-media and sports fame. He earned his culinary kudos working with top South Florida chefs for more than two decades. This has propelled Michael to the Executive Chef position for the 20 year local superstar eatery – Bimini Boatyard restaurant. He is the founder of The Professional Image, Inc.
