Hoboken, NJ, November 30, 2010 — We all know first came Black Friday, then Cyber Monday and newly added Small Business Saturday. But all these major events were created by major organizations or Fortune 500 companies who have millions of dollars to advertise. But now on December 5th comes Black Sunday, a day to support the local Realtors that help their clients sell their homes. Select home sellers have agreed to give up to 5% discount off the listing price on their homes. This will boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the state. Black Sunday is starting in New Jersey by a local Realtor Jorge Aviles (www.jorgeaviles.com) from Empire Realty Group (www.empiregroup.com) in Hoboken, New Jersey the movement hopes to drive home buyers to local homes across the State of New Jersey.

Joining Jorge Aviles the company Empire Realty Group, in declaring the second Sunday after Thanksgiving as Real Estate Black Sunday. Because of the philosophy of consumers we felt that the following Sunday would work best for Home shoppers after they have spent some of their money on household items. This works best and allows shoppers time to view the homes and not lose out on retail sales.

“The American dream is to own a home in the US” said Mr. Jorge Aviles, Realtor and Founder/Creator of Black Sunday. “It is also among the sectors hardest hit by the recession. By spreading the word about Real Estate Black Sunday, we can help raise awareness about home ownership and the role it plays in cities and towns across the country at a time when they need support the most.”

“The opportunity to have my clients participate is Amazing. It’s the first year I am hosting the event and plan on making it even bigger next year. Like I said before we’ve all heard about Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year, people have the opportunity to shop on Black Sunday (December 5th) after Thanksgiving, make it a point to save up to 5% off listing price on select listing which can result up thousands of dollars. It really can make an enormous difference for a first time home buyer.”
