Dr. Charles Peterfy, Chief Scientific Officer at Synarc in San Francisco, CA will give the featured address entitled “Successful Multi-Site MRI in Rheumatoid Arthritis Clinical Trials: Overcoming Single-Site Mindedness.” at GTCbio’s 4th annual Imaging in Preclinical & Clinical Drug Development Conference on March 16-17, 2009 in San Francisco, CA.

Dr. Peterfy’s presentation will examine the unique challenges to successful multi-site magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in clinical trials of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). He will specify the critical image-quality drivers of accurate readings, which elements of the MRI protocol are most important to these image attributes, and techniques that can ensure good images.

Dr. Peterfy is co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Synarc, an international organization providing centralized medical imaging and molecular marker services and clinical-research facilities to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices industries. He is a board-certified radiologist with 20 years experience in clinical radiology and fellowship training in musculoskeletal imaging from the University of California San Francisco.
