The prestigious Travel+Leisure magazine, one of the world’s most widely read and respected travel magazines, named Discovery Shores Boracay Resort as one of the World’s Best Family Hotels. In the Asia list where the luxury hotel was ranked 8th, it was given a grade score of 90.59, praising Discovery Shore’s child friendly activities such as learning the Filipino versions of hopscotch and tag and climb up a bamboo pole in a popular local game known as palosebo.
Among the list were Oberoi Vanyavilas (Ranthambhore, India) followed by Four Seasons Resort (Bali, Indonesia); Oberoi Rajvilas (Jaipur, India); Rambagh Palace (Jaipur, India); Oberoi Amarvilas (Agra, India); Shangri-La Hotel (Singapore); Oberoi Udaivilas (Udaipur, India); Discovery Shores; Sofitel Legend Metropole (Hanoi, Vietnam); and Leela Palace Kempinski Udaipur (Rajasthan, India).
Discovery Shores Boracay Hotel is also the first Boracay Hotel to become a member of the elite Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The 88-room hotel opened only in March 2007, was also ranked 14th in the magazine’s World’s Best Awards. Discovery Shores Boracay Hotel recently inaugurated a multi million peso staff house in anticipation of more tourists in the coming months.
