Kathy Murchison Recognized for Her Health Programs and Achievements
RTP, N.C. (July 21, 2009)—Kathy Murchison, president and CEO of DocuSource of NC, LLC (www.docusourceofnc.com), a full-service resource for printing and communication materials, has been selected as a recipient of a 2009 Business Leader Healthiest CEO Award. The award recognizes Triangle CEOs for their personal fitness, as well as for promoting healthy living among their companies and in the community.
“It is important for me to stay healthy, as well as encourage others around me to pursue healthy lifestyles,” says Murchison. “I believe that a healthy body coupled with a healthy mind is a key element of success in business.”
Since undergoing hip replacement surgery in 2002, Murchison has worked closely with a personal trainer to maintain her fitness. In addition to exercise, she also pays close attention to her diet to ensure her boundless energy remains.
The commitment Murchison has to her health trickles down to others around her. She has not only arranged for her personal trainer to be available to the DocuSource staff, but remains committed to her community by actively supporting organizations that help others stay healthy, including Be Active North Carolina, Meals on Wheels and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
