Through this tie-up ElectroMech now introduces to the Indian market the safest lifting solutions suitable for use in hazardous, explosion-prone areas. The new partnership has been formally kicked off and ElectroMech will be the exclusive India partner for Stahl CraneSystems for it’s EX range of products. At the Oceantex expo taking place in Mumbai, a fully working 5MT EX Crane was displayed. The display showcased the different design features of the crane that make it unique and safe for use in hazardous environment.
Stahl CraneSystems is more than 130 years old and at the end of 1920s Stahl was the only manufacturer to influence and advance the development of explosion-protected lifting technology. Over the past many years, Stahl has now emerged as the worlds leading manufacturers of explosion-protected components and systems for overhead transportation. The Stahl EX range of products is duly compliant with the ATEX product directive 94/9/EC (ATEX95) and all products are marked accordingly. This ATEX directive is the approved norm in Europe for Explosion Protection and can be considered to be the most stringent norm in the world. As a result the Stahl EX range of products is much more superior and safer than products confirming to other directives or standards.
Petroleum, oil & gas are sectors are set to boom in India. With the discovery of large natural gas reservoirs, India is all set to emerge as one of the leading players in this sector. On this background there is an expanding requirement of equipments required in refineries and other such hazardous areas where highly inflammable substances and vapours are present. To cater to the requirements of safe hoisting and moving in such areas, appropriately designed and certified cranes need to be used.
