EntropySoft releases new Content ETL for transfers and cloud synchronization

E

EntropySoft, specialist of the ECI market (Enterprise Content Integration), is releasing the new version of its Content ETL product for unstructured data. By releasing the third version of Content ETL, EntropySoft is once more working towards simple transfers between content repositories, either on-premise or in-the-cloud.

Traditionally, ETL software does Extraction, Transform and Load with structured data repositories such as databases. EntropySoft’s Content ETL has a leading position on the market as the first scalable and fully-flexible ETL product for unstructured data. Content ETL can handle all the content transfers that are required in today’s complex information systems. The content transfers can be on-demand or time-scheduled and can be done either on-premise or with a cloud repository.

With EntropySoft’s Content ETL, it is possible to connect together all the company’s content repositories, graphically design and plan document transfers between repositories, manage document transformations and metadata mapping, as well as delegate transfer management to end-users.

Content ETL is using EntropySoft’s exclusive portfolio of read/write connectors and Content Federation Server to interact with more than 30 different content repositories. As the connectors enable most of the features of popular content-centric applications, Content ETL can rely on a vast set of features to manage very complex information transfers.

“Content ETL is EntropySoft’s answer to two problems companies are confronted to: enabling simple content transfers between repositories and cloud repository synchronization. Using EntropySoft’s portfolio of connectors, Content ETL implements simply on-demand or scheduled transfers between repositories, wherever they are located. Content transfer bridges can be easily created, debugged and published.”
Nicolas Maquaire, EntropySoft CEO

Content ETL consists of two clients of EntropySoft’s Content Federation Server: Content ETL Studio and Content ETL Web.
Content ETL Studio is for advanced users who want to graphically design and plan document processes; Content ETL Web is for all users to manage transfers on an on-demand basis.

Source and target applications can be of very different types: document-centric applications, messaging systems, records management platforms, collaborative frameworks, CSV files, XML files… Sources and targets can either be on-premise, in the cloud, or both.

Content ETL has full capabilities for monitoring and auditing transfers including JMX monitoring. This live monitoring allows you to adapt your processes and maximize performance.

A very popular feature in Content ETL is the repository changes tracking.
Six connectors have the ability to track changes to the repository and deliver a list of added, updated and deleted documents since the last request. Changes to content, permissions and metadata are taken into account on an immediate basis. This is a vital feature for all companies who want to have an accurate view of their content.

Data de-duplication, extensive permission, groups and metadata mapping are some of the most useful features of Content ETL.

Content ETL keeps track of all processed documents and supplies audit trails. Thanks to this unique feature, it is now possible to trace the whole cross-applications transfer history of a document. By federating the transfer logs over time, the whole life-cycle of a document can be traced throughout its life. This full-traceability is a key feature for information management as well as compliance.
Therefore, Content ETL’s immediate benefits are easier content transfers between repositories, better information life-cycle control and stronger compliance with rules and regulations.

EntropySoft brings Content Management Intelligence to its customers.

About EntropySoft
EntropySoft is focused on the integration of unstructured data and is a pure-player in the ECI global market (Enterprise Content Integration). An information-access expert, EntropySoft’s mission is to facilitate content access and make content interoperability easy.

EntropySoft technology is used by software vendors to simplify the integration between their solution and all content management solutions. Applications fields are numerous (Enterprise Search, BPM, e-discovery, Records Management, Collaboration, etc…). EntropySoft has the most extensive read / write connector portfolio in the market.
EntropySoft also has a Content ETL (for inter-repository transfers and cloud synchronization) and a Content Federation Server (to simplify enterprise connectivity architecture).

The following leading global organizations integrate EntropySoft connectors: Attivio, Coveo, Digital Reef, Endeca, Exalead, IDS Scheer, Image Integration Systems, Jahia, Kazeon and W4.
