Seegrid technology can transform industrial vehicles into unmanned, automated pallet trucks and tow tractors that operate without a need for wire, tape, laser or other automated guided vehicle guidance systems. Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Seegrid Corp. (www.seegrid.com) brings robotic vision-guided technology to the material handling industry. Seegrid offers solutions that optimize workflow processes by increasing productivity and reducing costs, creating economic and operational advantages. Seegrid was recently profiled in ForkliftAction.com, an online information resource regarding material handling.

The Forklift Action article reported that, “Robotic forklift maker Seegrid Corp invested about $260,000 to upgrade and equip the 10,000 sq. ft. facility, expanding its engineering laboratory, manufacturing space and offices. Seegrid moved into the additional quarters on 7 October. The expansion area is adjacent to an existing 30,000 sq. ft. area that Seegrid initially occupied.” The renovation work in a Pittsburgh area industrial park expands Seegrid’s evolving capabilities and efforts to bring robotic vision-guided technology to the materials handling industry.

The space is located in the Park West master-planned industrial park development in North Fayette and Findlay townships. The private non-profit Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania operates the park, fosters new employment opportunities and aims to diversify the region’s economy.

In addition to the Pittsburgh headquarters and production facility, Seegrid has an office in Lowell, Massachusetts. Seegrid established partnership relations with the Raymond Corp operation of Toyota Material Handling North America on April 29th and the Linde Material Handling GmbH & Co. KG subsidiary of the KION Group on May 2nd.

Seegrid will be a significant part of MODEX 2012 in Atlanta, GA February 6 – 9th. Exhibiting at booth 3100, Seegrid is proud to participate in one the largest expositions for manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the Americas in 2012. The show is designed to offer supply chain efficiency solutions, learning opportunities and information by showcasing the products and services of exceptional companies, like Seegrid.
