Following an extensive review of UK Immigration laws, particularly the UK Student Visa route, the UK Government has introduced immigration interviews targeting international students in order to determine whether Student Visa applications are genuine and to assess an applicant?s ability to speak English.
A Kings Court Chambers spokesperson said: ?The extent of the UK Immigration review and changes to the rules are affecting a number of people. We believe that it has become a necessity to offer guidance to people who are to be subjected to immigration interviews as the process can cause anxiety and the interviews can be quite intense, with every detail scrutinised.?
Go prepared
When a review of your application is carried out all the information supplied will be examined closely. It?s worth preparing yourself for intense questioning, but on your part, remain calm as some of the questioning can become very personal. Be sure to take all the documents they request and answer all questions honestly.
Comply
Don?t be vague when giving answers to questions, comply with what they ask of you and be transparent and show that you have nothing to hide. Avoid launching into ?making your case? as to why you should be granted access to the UK as this causes tensions to rise. Simply answer the questions asked as compliance rather than conflict represents a better opportunity of success.

In a statement from Home Secretary, Theresa May, she said: ?Following a review of the UK Study Visa route, we will radically extend the UKBA?s interviewing programme, commencing with the highest-risk countries.
We will be focusing on the route to Britain that is constantly abused, student visa. We will be increasing the number of immigration interviews beyond the 100,000 mark and these will begin in the next financial year.?
