Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited Continues To Post Solid Sales

Triton 4×4 was the standout performer, posting a sales record for May with 934 units, an impressive six per cent growth on May 2010, more than double the Pick Up/Cab Chassis 4×4 segment growth of 2.5 per cent for the month.

Pajero was the second highest-selling Medium SUVin May with a 14.4 per cent market share thanks to sales of 773 units. This was an impressive 25.3 per cent increase over May 2010 results which was in stark contrast to the Medium SUV segment which decreased by a huge 28.2 per cent for the month.

Sales of ASX remained steady during May with 476 units, as did the Challenger with 185 units contributing to MMAL recording its best ever SUV sales(imported vehicles) for the month of May with a total of 1,814 units.

MMAL recorded an all-time record for year-to-date figures, with 25,283 for imported vehicle sales in the January to May period, a 0.5 per cent increase on 2010. This was in contrast to the total market volume which fell 5.3 per cent for the same period. MMAL’s year-to-date market share remained steady at 6.3 per cent.
