New York, NY, December 29, 2010 — It just made sense, if you have roster of extraordinary Talent, why not showcase them to the world. Of course to do that, you would need a Web based TV Show, that could be viewed anywhere in the world. So, with a production background as strong as its Celebrity Roster, MMG did just that, and In September 2010, MMG began producing “The D’Anise Show”, on www.thatchannel.com, hosted by MMG’s beautiful and witty D’Anise Marie. The show has quickly became a fan favorite with its’ American Idol like performances and audience voting.
This MMG Entertainment based show has been a fantastic vehicle for MMG’s Talent to perform live, gain valuable experience and be seen by hundreds of thousands of viewers. The live performances are also available afterwards as podcasts and provide valuable material for any actor or singer’s demo reel. Newcomers perform along side of and are interviewed by Celebrity Co-Hosts and Special Guests. By combining new Talent with Celebrities, MMG’s talent get real life lessons and performance experience which is necessary to make it in this extremely competitive industry. The age old question of how do you get experience if you have none, and they won’t hire you until you do, seems to have been solved by MMG.
Doing things differently has always been MMG’s trademark unafraid to innovate it has become a global Model, Talent and Celebrity Management Company and Agency operating in four cities and two countries with plans to expand substantially in 2011. MMG is no stranger to television and film production. Prior to founding MMG, Jeff Cohen, MMG’s President and Creative Director, played a key role in the production and post production of many of the top shows produced in NYC, including Sex In The City, The Cosby Show and Spin City. For Jeff, landing the post production and voice over work for “SEX in the City” was one he will remember forever. Using his creativity along with unrelenting determination Jeff realized that he could get the world famous TV Show if he helped the Producers solve an annoying problem. The Show was being filmed at the World Famous Silvercup Studio’s, and every time they needed to fix one of Sara Jessica Parkers voiceovers she would have to make a trip into NYC, instantly, it became clear to Jeff that he could get the show if he could build a voiceover studio for Sarah Jessica Parker at Silvercup Studio’s. Jeff immediately contacted Alan Suna, President of Silvercup Studio’s and proposed building a co-owned voiceover studio right on their lot. The rest is history, Silvercup donated two unused make-up rooms and HSR brought the equipment and experienced staff and it was a success for HSR Studios, Sex in the City and Silvercup.
MMG’s production experience significantly helps the talent it represents, as they understand the process from creation to finished product. Recently, MMG became involved with the first season of ABC’s Skating with the Stars produced by the BBC Worldwide who also produces Dancing with the Stars, every first year production has its’ unforeseen issues. MMG’s production experience allowed them to assist in the handling of those issues in a manner most beneficial to the program’s success and its’ talent, which is more than helpful when there, is a tight production timetable.
MMG has also assisted in the Casting of “Noble Exchange” a new TV Series on Halogen Network and because of the significant participation in the Casting by MMG’s Ben Oduro he will receive a Casting Credit on IMDB.
2010 has been a great year for MMG, it’s talent has received recurring roles on major soap operas, landed national commercials, performed on its’ TV Show. MMG’s roster is the strongest it ever has been with 11 of America’s Next Top Models, American Idol Finalists, Project Runway and many cast members from ABC’s What Would You Do, She’s Got The Look, the Bachelor, Bachelor Pad, True Beauty, CSI, Cold Case, Model Latino and a host of Feature Films. It’s print division has landed campaigns for shoe and dress designers included Wanted Shoes and Designer Ashley Michaelsen, and it’s Models dominated Maxim’s Christmas Edition as they were featured in over 15 pages and can also be found in Seventeen Magazine and Cosmopolitan. Also, MMG talent made it to the final selection process for starring role the feature film Twilight.
MMG’s Melanie Iglesias has been named the winner of the 2010 Maxim Hometown Hotties Competition and has been interviewed on WPIX TV in NYC and will be the Maxim Spokesperson handling Red Carpet events for Maxim in 2011 including the Super bowl in Dallas, Texas. Prior to winning the Maxim Contest, Melanie barely missed being selected for the final 13 of America’s Next Top Model and Melanie is currently featured as one of the Royal Flush Girls on the World Poker Tour which will air on Fox Sports Net.
MMG also judges and sponsors many National Pageants in addition to attending Model and Talent showcases to discover the best new talent available. MMG Music also had it most productive year releasing two singles “On My Way” and “Tragic Fairytale”, recorded and produced by Australia’s Elena Bennett. MMG anticipates releasing more songs in 2011 as it hopes to discover the “Best New Song of 2011” through a music contest to be held on its’ D’Anise TV Show. MMG hopes to get the” Best” new song by offering an irresistible winning prize of recording and mixing the winning song in a World Famous NYC Recording Studio that has recorded artists such as John Lennon, Alicia Keyes, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Sheryl Crow and Jimi Hendrix. Already over 1,000 submissions have come in and MMG is establishing a Celebrity Judging Panel to assist in determining the winner. The Music contest is expected to begin this February.
