Former Auto Critic of America and Gulf Franchise Company exec Patrick Ludwick to lead National Expansion of Pathetic Medic as VP.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania September 30, 2009 – Jim Hess, Founder and President of Pathetic Medic Franchising Corp. – Philadelphia’s premium mobile car care doctor– announces the appointment of franchising veteran Patrick Ludwick to the position of Vice President, effective immediately.

Pottstown native Jim Hess started his company in 1984 at the age of 18. In his wildest dreams he never imaged he would be leading a national company. “When I started the business as a teenager, I was just happy to make enough money to pay my bills, I never imaged I would be opening offices nation-wide”, stated owner, Jim Hess.

“Pathetic Medic management and franchisees are thrilled that Patrick Ludwick joined our company as VP to lead our national franchise expansion,” reports Hess. “Pat comes to Pathetic Medic with a most successful track record of franchising- not just here in the states- but abroad as well.”
During his time overseas, Mr. Ludwick spent 5 years in the Middle East as VP of Gulf Franchising Company in Kuwait City, Kuwait and led the expansion of 5 international franchise businesses exceeding $135,000,000 in sales. Prior to his tenure at GFC, Mr. Ludwick founded and franchised Auto Critic of America based in Dallas, Texas which expanded to 50 locations with 175 units with $30,000,000 in sales in 5 years.

“Pat is a true entrepreneur and franchise veteran,” reports Hess. “He actually started franchising as a teen, but it was his incredible success with his innovative concept, Auto Critic, that caught our eye. During a serious recession he franchised Auto Critic with such speed and fruition that he was nominated twice as Entrepreneur of the Year and has been featured in dozens of news outlets all across the country- from Good Morning America to the cover of Inc. Magazine. We know his expertise in developing people and processes will make Pathetic Medic’s national franchise launch exciting and productive.”

“Today’s prospective franchise owner is interested in partnering with a business that is profitable and has a great history,” said Ludwick. “Pathetic Medic has both. It has a great history- 25 years in the car care business, and is a profitable business where franchisees can make a comfortable living- so naturally I’m excited about our launching Pathetic Medic nationwide. We are looking forward to having Pathetic Medic franchise service vans in every major metropolitan area in America- and that’s exciting. Our primary goal over the next few years is to show franchise candidates that Pathetic Medic is a great opportunity for the home-based entrepreneur who wants to earn a comfortable living without the big franchise headaches. What many are looking for in a complicated world is Pathetic Medic.”

Mr. Ludwick, formerly of the Pittsburgh area, currently resides in the Greater Philadelphia region.
