Cleveland Ohio– Alice Langholt, MJS, RMT, Executive Director of the online Reiki Awakening Academy School of Intuitive Development, is one of only five finalists nominated for the prestigious international “Favorite Reiki Teacher” award by the popular about.com website, healing.about.com.
Alice Langholt, MJS, RMT, has been lauded as a front line educator making Reiki and holistic education accessible to people worldwide via her online Reiki Awakening Academy (ReikiAwakeningAcademy.com), where students and teachers meet face to face to learn and share ideas. “The online format is much appreciated by those of us who cannot make it to a local class. Langholt has also simplified the practice of Reiki, (an energy healing technique) by eliminating the complicated hand positions and symbols normally associated with this practice. Reiki is gaining traction in many health care settings such as the Cleveland Clinic, who utilizes it to improve the quality of care. Reiki also hones the intuition, a concept that is now being studied intensively and applied in a variety of work settings. Her book, Practical Reiki for Balance, Well Being and Vibrant Health, a blueprint for her technique, won a 2012 2nd place award for Best Reiki Book in the About.com Reader’s Choice Awards, and is available on Amazon.com.
As a passionate and dedicated instructor, Langholt has taught Reiki to more than 600 students throughout the world. Her articles have appeared in Law of Attraction Magazine, Advance for Nurses, and BrainWorld Magazine. She served as a volunteer with the Healing Services Department at The Cleveland Clinic, and also gives Reiki at The Gathering Place, in addition to teaching and running the Reiki Awakening Academy.
