The British economy has shown signs of worry, however battling it all over Alpine Elements has surfaced with good news. Reportedly, bookings at Alpine Elements have shown a surprise rise of about 8.5% for Winter 2008/09 since last year.
Ski Holiday bookings for early December and January 2009 have increased by as much as 22%. The primary reason for this increase is the good snowfall that the skiers got in January 2008. Another reason is the excellent value prices that are offered by Alpine Elements for bookings during this time period. Our excellent package is making people shift from the December dates.
The package that is offered by Alpine Elements is helping parents immensely as they do not have to bear high expenses that are prevalent during the New Year week (from Dec 28-Jan 4). Parents can now make savings of over £2,000 per family by taking their children for skiing in the first week of January (Jan 4-11).
Most of the schools from North and South Regions are known to be taking the same week. This is the period that commences from Feb 14/15th due to which the half term is being filled up quite fast. This has the effect of escalating demand and prices being hit for the same period. Adding to the woes is the rise in air fuel prices along with the decrease in flight capacity. Several airlines like XL airways and BA have cancelled their flights for the winter.
The month of March is little behind mainly because of fast bookings in January. A trend of last minute bookings has also been noticed which is mainly due to the current economy and unpredictable nature of snow fall.
Nevertheless, we expect a busy ski season this year as we find that true to form – skiers, being the staunch lot they are, are not willing not give up their precious winter break that easily!
