Although research between the correlation of hypnosis and weight loss have not been very conclusive, many studies have evaluated the effect of hypnosis on weight-loss. It is said that weight-loss hypnosis can work under some circumstances that still involves dieting and exercise. How does this work? Many dieting programs do not work mainly because the limitations are in the individuals head. Although losing weight is your body’s job, your predispositions are what helps you go through with it. Many people cannot be parted with their beloved food and this is where the problem gets stuck. On a scientific note, it has been proven by many psychologists that your disposition towards dieting is a big factor in determining its success and this is where hypnosis and weight-loss comes in.

It has already been mentioned how hypnosis works in the mind. Now, it is just a matter of suggesting to yourself the good behaviors that you want to possess. This is where you put your mind in the right state and tweak the part of you that stands in your own way to the success of your dieting.

Like our muscles, our mind needs exercise for it to work better. So every time you have to go through your diet plan, you can induce self-hypnosis and allow yourself to explore your attitudes toward what you are about to go through. According to Shane Jeremy James in his book Think, Act, Love, and Lose Weight – “Spend at least five or ten minutes creating a vivid picture in your mind of the new you. Hold this picture in your mind while you feel the emotions; feel how great it feels to be you. If this doesn’t come naturally to you, then ‘borrow’ the emotion from another time in your life when you were highly successful.” You can practice this over and over again until it is imminent to you the goals of your dieting and why it is good for you. Always remember that hypnosis and weight loss are two things that come hand in hand for a better you.
