Social decision making blog breakupvote.com lets you outsource tough relationship decisions.

The internet has revolutionized almost everything, from shopping to medical advice, but look out, because here comes the big one, users of the new, self proclaimed, “social decision making” blog breakupvote.com, outsource the ultimate decision, whether to cut things off with a significant other.

“I found that all the dating advice I got from friends and family was extremely biased. They were obviously going to lean in my favor, especially in a tough situation like a breakup. Which meant, to me, I wasn’t getting the best advice” says breakupvote.com founder, who chooses to use the alias John Breakup.

Thus breakupvote.com was born, a blog that allows users to submit small articles describing their dating troubles, and visitors to the site vote on wether they should break up.

Users describe their difficult relationship situations, and anyone that wishes can vote, in a very simple one-click format. When voting, if you wish the couple in question to stay together you click a whole heart shape, and in order to indicate the couple should break up, a broken heart shape.

“The idea of breakupvote.com is to supplement the decision making process, give people in tough relationship situations an idea of what the masses think the best thing to do would be. The public has experienced, in most cases, the exact same situation users of our site are in, and would be happy to provides some insight” says founder, John Breakup.

Could this be the Dear, Abby column for the new generation?

We sure think so, as the users already active on breakupvote.com seem to be genuine and concerned, and the votes are pouring in. With a reported 3,000 views since launch on November 18th, it is worth a look, and maybe worth a submission if you are in a relationship ditch.
