New thriller reveals startling reality on global nuclear war

N

New thriller novel, Twilight Visitor, paints an all-too-real picture of the potential for nuclear war, when an energy-desperate China suddenly invades Iran for its oil, and Iran retaliates on Beijing by firing a nuclear warhead. The domino-effect of dynamics set into play quickly finds North Korea entering the stage and threatening a retaliatory strike if America opposes China, and soon the whole world is faced with a crisis which world leaders seem incapable to prevent. The reader is simultaneously cast into the conflicted life of one man, a bioengineer vacationing on the idyllic shores of Portugal, who is desperately trying to resolve his own mid-life crisis, when he meets a mystery woman who informs him that he alone has the answer to solving the energy-crisis and to stopping the impending nuclear debacle. As the world edges toward the inevitability of nuclear war, with China, Iran and North Korea now tipping the scales, this one man and this one enigmatic woman, are challenged to alter the course of history.

Novelist David Luddington said this about Twilight Visitor… “…a high concept thriller that is comparable with the best of Dan Brown or Jack Higgins.”

Book-Reviewer.com had this to say… “The story races along with (the) pace of a Tom Clancy thriller…”

About the author

RLaplaine

I write thrillers that push the edge ... My style of writing reflects my own philosophy and experience in life. I believe we came from the stars, and someday, we'll get back out there. I don't think we evolved from mud. I think that is a terrible insult to humanity at large and simply a way of keeping people ignorant about the truth of who we are. My books present philosophical, moral and societal issues to think about - while taking the reader on a thrill ride.
