Virgin Atlantic launch vTravelled: An Online Social Network (with Neo Optic Already On Board)

For Immediate Release

It is Virgin Atlantic’s birthday this week, and as part of the celebrations Sir Richard Branson took Kate Moss for a dance on the wing of a 747-400, recreated the very first Virgin Atlantic flight, and spent a cool $2.1 billion on 10 brand new Airbus A330-300 planes.

Sound like an average birthday to you?

The week also sees the launch of the brand new social travel site vtravelled.com, which went live today to further celebrate the quarter century of success which the company has enjoyed.

The site offers travellers the platform to share stories, photographs, plans and tips from travelling experiences all over the world, all within a graphically stunning web 2.0 interface.

Prelaunch NeoOptic have been providing consultancy on the site’s Search Engine Optimisation, working closely with the development team and project leader.
The vTravelled platform aims to give travellers the chance to plan their perfect trip, and much of the site is dedicated to user’s ability to share and comment upon photographs which they have taken on their journeys.

This means that user experience is a world aware from the conventional travel forum, and also posed a unique set of challenges for the neo optic team to consider and address during the prelaunch.
