Washington, DC, December 15, 2009 — The Towing and Recovery Association of America, in conjunction with its ongoing effort to improve the image of towers and the towing industry to the general public, would like to acknowledge the Wisconsin Towing Association for delivering toys to the U.S. Marines.

On November 8, 2009, members of the Wisconsin Towing Association joined in to help fellow towers in the Chicago area in the Tow Trucks for Tots Parade set a new Guinness Worlds Record for the largest ever Tow Truck Parade. Tow Trucks for Tots is an idea from Pat Winer, owner of Worldwide Equipment Sales who has achieved his goals and created a highly successful event. Wisconsin Towers were able to bring all of their donated toys back to Wisconsin from the event and then donate them for the U.S. Marines to distribute in their own efforts. On November 20, 2009, members of the Wisconsin Towing Association met with the U.S. Marines to turn over their toys through the association’s Hooked on Helping effort.
