2010 International Conference – Social Enterprise of Employment for Disability

( AsiaToday )- Taipei, Taiwan, Nov. 16, 2010 – Children Are Us Foundation of Taiwan is to hold “2010 International Conference – Social Enterprise of Employment for Disability” on December 2, 2010 at Taipei Y17 Youth Recreation Center.

The seminar theme is “Innovation, Efficiency and Sustainability”. The CEO of Swan Bakery & Café of Japan, CEO of social enterprise Antur Waunfawr of UK, and Taiwan experts, scholars and practitioners are invited to join the festivities and to share their valuable experiences.

Through dialogue and exchange of practical experience this event aims at provoking innovative thinking to explore sustainable social enterprise innovation and efficiency. The ultimate goal is to provide ID (Intelligent Disables) with different opportunities and to help them fulfill their dreams by creating sustainable employment patterns.

[ About Children Are Us Foundation ]
The Foundation was initiated & founded by a group of parents of ID in 1995 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, with a goal of providing long term care to senior ID. Today its missions include safeguarding the dignity of ID, educating them, and providing them with long term care. The Foundation runs bakeries and restaurants to provide assisted employment to ID, organizes several programs to provide them with educational activities. Currently the Foundation has embarked on an assisted nursing home project for senior IDs.
