“25th Motor Expo” Started Rolling
Overwhelming Demand from Car Companies! 5,000 sq. m. Added

Area reservation for “The 25th Thailand International Motor Expo 2008” began in earnest. More car companies took part than in previous years necessitating the Organizer to expand total car display areas by 5,000 square metres. Requirements from auto sound and accessories were no less keen, and areas for these were reserved to the brim.

Mr. Prapong Maicharoen, Deputy Organizing Chairman of Motor Expo, disclosed, “In our preliminary floor planning, we had provided for total car show areas to exceed last year. But in the actual area reservation session, this turned out to be inadequate and we had to expand car show areas by a further 15%. The total expansion came to about 5,000 sq. m.”

As to the factors accounting for the increase in Motor Expo total area bookings, Mr. Kwanchai Paphatphong, Organizing Chairman, opined, “ Since the timing of the event is towards the end of the year and companies are about to wrap up their sales figures, many interesting promotion campaigns are offered to the consumers. Also because nationwide car sales volume grew 16.3% in the first quarter, car companies and suppliers of accessories expect the markets for automotive industry to continue growing”.

“Moreover, this year we have 3 new brands in the market, and Yontarakit Group, having split into 5 companies, made bookings for 5 areas instead of just 1 as in previous years”, Mr. Kwanchai added.

As for auto sound and accessories, traders still have confidence that the market will continue to grow, resulting in area bookings of over 90%.

The “25th THAILAND INTERNATIONAL MOTOR EXPO 2008”, organized by Inter-Media Consultant Co., Ltd. under the concept “OBLIGATION OF MANKIND TO STOP GLOBAL WARMING”, will be held from November 29 to December 10, 2008 at IMPACT Challenger 1-3, Muang Thong Thani.
