Looking To Abort? Canadian Pharmacies Believe It Doubles Mental Health Risk

L

A recent study has established women looking to abort babies are at great risk of developing mental health problems. In fact, the risk is almost double in comparison to other women who do not for abortion. Canadian pharmacies believe it is not worth the risk to go in for abortion, especially if the risk of mental health problems is already evident.

Research findings clearly indicate one in 10 women with mental health problems are directly connected to them having an abortion. Recent findings have already spurred politicians to demand an amendment in the Health Bill asking for women opting for abortion to first consult independent councilors.

The study conducted by Prof Priscilla Coleman was published in the British Journal of Psychiatry. 22 separate analyses were conducted recording experiences of 877,000 women in total. Of these, 163,831 women had undergone abortion. In the past, pro-abortion campaigners tried to convince people abortion actually reduces risk of mental disease. Research findings published two years ago in the same journal hotly disputed arguments placed by these campaigners.

Consistent findings in the current study show moderate to high risk of psychological problems with approximately 81% having increased risk of mental health problems, while 10% already diagnosed with them directly due to abortion.

Canadian pharmacies were concerned about the breakup shown by the study. Around 34% had a greater chance of getting anxiety disorders, 37% could get depression, a mammoth 110% may resort to alcoholism, 220% could fall prey to cannabis drug abuse, and around 155% may actually attempt suicide.

The question of whether to allow abortion or not has already reached Parliament after being hotly debated by pro and against lobbies. Royal College of Psychiatrists has endorsed the study. Organizations are already in existence providing abortion counseling to patients who opt for it. However, there is a tendency to be biased in order to increase rate of abortion.

The topic is a bit sensitive, and Prof Coleman accepts pro-choice campaigners trying to legalize abortion have been vehemently against her research connecting mental health problems with abortion. Her methods have been constantly under scrutiny, but after the recent study, psychiatrists have been accepting the possibility of abortion being the root cause of alcoholism, depression, anxiety, suicide, and drug abuse.

People buy Cymbalta to treat depression and are aware of minor side effects like nausea, constipation, and lack of appetite. Some have experienced major side effects including allergies, lack of concentration, and shallow breathing. Most of these side effects last for some time and then fade away. However, Prof Coleman’s research findings are made people think twice before opting for abortion if they already have a medical condition like depression or anxiety.

Abortion may become a matter of choice in the short or long term, if legislation comes into place. Canadian pharmacies ask people to be more careful in making the right choice when it comes to abortion. Medication is usually the last resort for depression or other mental health problems. Changes in lifestyle work as long as the body is able to adapt. Abortion is a drastic step done in emergencies. An many cases, a gamble is taken with age or medical condition. Seeking out a qualified medical consultant before taking the extreme step may prevent mental health problems in women.
