Al Khawarizmi Graduation Ceremony 2008

Under the patronage of His Excellency Staff Colonel Dr. Sheikh Saeed Bin Mohammed Al-Nahyan, 200 Graduates of Al Khawarizmi International College (KIC) celebrated the graduation ceremony for the Associate Degree in Computer Studies Program and Associate Degree in Business Administration Program. The ceremony was held in the Main Theatre of the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation Centre.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries and representatives from Government Departments, Foreign Embassies, Universities, Schools, Oil companies, Banks, etc and representatives from Social & Community Clubs.

Mr. Radi, the founder and CEO of KIC said on the occasion that the college Vision was very clear from the beginning; ‘to be the leading community college in the UAE and neighboring countries by offering associate degree programs that are of high quality and produce graduates who are in national shortage’. Mr. Radi also stated the growth the college has witnessed in the past years.

Mr. Radi talked about the newly launched Associate Degree in Computer Graphics and Animation offered at the college and the College strategic plan for the next five years which includes offering new programs in Interior Design, Engineering and Health Sciences.

The various opportunities for the graduates regarding advancing their higher studies and career options were outlined. KIC has signed articulation agreements with a number of local universities such as Dubai University, Skyline College and Al Ain University of Science and Technology as well as universities in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Pakistan, Tunisia, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Oman. The College’s career office helps students find suitable employment.

In their speeches, representatives of the graduating students, Mr. Humaid Al Dharmaki and Ms. Bushra Shamim, have expressed their satisfaction and gratitude to the College management and faculty members for the quality of the education that they have received.

The KIC Academic Board honored the following toppers as ‘Best Students’ for the Academic Year 2007-2008:

Associate of Science Degree in Computer Studies:

Hesham Mofied Salem – Al Ain

All Graduating students were honored in the presence of the Palestinian, Jordanian, Libyan and Egyptian Ambassadors and representatives from Pakistan embassy.

The ceremony was also attended by current students and the KIC Alumni Members along with family and friends.

Folk dances were performed by bands from the UAE and Palestine at the end of the ceremony.
