Calgary, Alberta, Canada, December 06, 2008 — Wild Rose Vacation Club an Alberta based Business is doing what they can to help out during this holiday season. “There are so many charities out there, most very deserving, but the Women In Need Society is at the top of our list this year” says Aamer one of the company’s managers. Wild Rose Vacation Club is in the midst of celebrating the twelve days of Christmas by doing twelve charitable acts for their less fortunate neighbors. Established in 1992, Women In Need Society (WINS) is a charitable not-for-profit organization in Calgary whose mission is to help women help themselves through innovative and effective programs and services.

WINS works with women coming out of shelters and crisis situations, mostly single women and their children in low income situations. “When asked what we could do help transit passes were mentioned so the women can take public transportation to find employment and do other necessary travel” says Peter’s who is an independent travel writer. The folks at Wild Rose Vacation Club are also helping out the local community with blanket drives for the homeless and ten other acts of charities to help set a new standard of giving in Calgary and Edmonton. “Yes, the company has had a good year, but all the employees agreed that we need to do whatever we can to help our community and also encourage other businesses to pledge their time and money to help make a difference too” says Aamer one of the company’s managers.

Women In Need Society helps women through the Free Goods Referral program so these women in transition can gain access to basic needs items such as clothing, household goods, and furniture. Women are referred to WINS for this service through over 60 community agencies. After consultation, WINS provides a voucher that entitles the client to purchase these goods from any one of the five WINS Thrift Stores.
