New version includes Knowledge Modelling, RSS Publication, and new Analysis Engine
Cambridge, UK, February 12th, 2007 — AMI, a leading provider of software designed for the acquisition, processing and management of unstructured information today announced the immediate availability of AMI Enterprise Intelligence version 4.0
Benefiting from an R&D investment of more than 20 million euros and marketed commercially since September 2005, AMI Enterprise Intelligence allows the user to search, automatically capture, analyse, visualise, distribute and personalise key information providing all functions necessary for the implementation of strategic intelligence initiatives from a single point of access.
Maintaining technological advantage and meeting increasing user expectations, version 4.0 represents a very significant upgrade.
Knowledge Modelling: Objects can be defined which represent cornerstones of the organisation such as people, products or articles and the relationships between these objects can be used to implement the knowledge modelling process. Cross-referencing of documents collected with those already published is done automatically making it possible to link existing structured information to information managed by AMI.
Knowledge is represented using the RDFS language allowing the import of external knowledge represented by the same pattern. Additional tools allow browsing of the knowledge network and help create “syntheses” that directly integrate the contents of the documents referenced.
RSS Publication: Documents issued by an Administrator can be published in the form of RSS feeds allowing information to be pushed either to a wide range of recipients, for example via integration of the feed into a portal or to individual users via subscription to the feed through an RSS reader available in e-mail clients like MS Outlook.
New Analysis Engine: Additional features are integrated including concept clouds, a new document viewer and definition of meta-concepts. The user interface and mapping tools are further optimised. Export as Microsoft Word and other popular formats: Export in Word XML format is now extended to dashboards created in the MyAMI application allowing conversion of an entire dashboard and distribution directly via email as a Word document or other format such as PDF retaining all points of interactivity and preserving ease of navigation across the AMI Enterprise Intelligence suite.
Advanced Search Engine: an advanced Search is available in AMI Publish and AMI Share allowing searches of the knowledgebase to be conducted using a greater range of pre-defined search criteria.
Back Office: a new re-designed and expanded Administration system is available for application management across the suite.
AMI Enterprise Intelligence incorporates new features that further increase employee productivity by placing at the users disposal highly advanced search, collect and information management functions from a simple point-and-click interface.
