One in three parents are losing it in long lines and abandoning their purchases to avoid waiting with kids, a survey has found.

Research by new online personal loan product, Umi, found parents are sick of queues, with more than one quarter (27 per cent) walking out of a shop when faced with a wait.

â??With restless kids in tow, parents are voting with their feet and walking away from retailers and businesses that make them wait â?? opening up a new market for an online personal loan products such as Umi,â? said Umi director Kartik Natarajan.

The five most irritating queues for parents were:

  • Checkout/cashier (40 per cent)
  • Airports (25 per cent)

  • Banks or ATM (13 per cent)
  • Coffee shops (5 per cent)

â??The survey shows that parents are sick of wasting time in lines and are moving online for day-to-day transactions, so it makes sense for Umi to offer convenient online personal loans that only take 15 minutes to apply for and just 60 seconds to get a decision on,â? Mr Natarajan added.
