Nearly 50 aspiring 15 to 17 year old engineers enjoyed a unique learning experience. The course gave students the opportunity to learn about the vibrant, innovative and global industry of sports materials, which brings together science, technology, engineering and imagination to develop high performance sporting products.

Students Engineer a Sustainable Future

From 19th to 22nd July, fifty students from across the UK attended a four-day residential sustainable energy course to learn more about low carbon energy sources organised by the Smallpeice Trust at Newcastle University. Students spent time discovering about new energy sources such as renewable tidal, wave and wind.

From 5th to 8th July, thirty 15/16 year old students were given a rare insight into the exciting and dynamic field of nanotechnology. During the four-day course organised by The Smallpeice Trust in partnership with the University of Leeds, students enjoyed a unique opportunity to learn first-hand about this revolutionary science.
