Military cakes are single layer, serving 8 & they are baked fresh, frosted and shipped immediately but the time frame once in military hands could be up to 10 days. Cakes have traveled to Iraq in 130* temps and have arrived fine.
Flavors are yellow, white, chocolate, marble, strawberry, lemon or spice. Cakes are frosted with white buttercream and then a layer of rolled white edible fondant covers the entire cake and serves as protection to keep the cake fresh. The baker can write your inscription for the occasion on the fondant and there is a gift card included. The cake wrapped in fondant, is then placed in an attractive tin to secure it for transit.
