Banner Homes acquires new development site in Lawnswood to build four detached homes

B

Banner Homes has announced it has purchased a development site in Lawnswood, South Staffordshire. The site, Whitefriars, has been granted planning permission to build four large five bedroom detached homes and work is expected to start in April 2011. The site has several large mature trees at the rear of the development which will be protected.

The development is located in one of the best areas in Staffordshire. It is within close proximity to the village of Kingswinford with good transport links and excellent schools.

This latest acquisition signals Banner Homes’ continuing investment in new opportunities and follows a successful year for the Beaconsfield-based house builder. In 2010 Banner Homes completed 28 new land deals. Of the 28 acquisitions, 15 have been bought with planning permission and the remaining 13 are subject to planning deals.

Banner Homes has been building since 1975 and has achieved a considerable reputation for developing homes of traditional quality on sites ranging from individual detached houses to developments of 100 dwellings and more. The company operates three regional divisions, Midlands, Central and Southern, which gives Banner coverage of the whole of the southern half of England.

Banner Homes continues to search for new land opportunities throughout the Midlands and southern England. For further information, visit www.bannerhomes.co.uk/we-buy-land. You can also follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/bannerhomesplc

Banner Homes
Banner Homes is one of the country’s leading independent house builders. The business started in 1975 with the earliest developments being in and around High Wycombe. Since then it has grown to encompass three regional operational centres in the Southern Home Counties, Northern Home Counties and the Midlands.
Banner has over thirty years experience and know-how when it comes to building outstanding developments, targeting the full spectrum of home buyers at prices ranging from under £100,000 up to in excess of £4m. Banner has particular skills in creating new homes for the over 55s and has won coveted What House? Awards for developments in Wendover, Caterham and Horsham within this market sector.
Banner’s passion is for perfecting its homes and maximising their value for purchasers. Every home built receives individual, professional attention from the moment it first appears on the drawing board, right through to its build completion and final clean.
Banner is innovative in design and specification, whilst being discerning in its adoption of new trends. Banner focuses keenly on anticipating, identifying and satisfying its customers’ demands in location, design and the delivery of a new home. Its designs can be contemporary or classical depending on the market, but the approach to build quality and service is reassuringly traditional.
Banner has been at the forefront of integrating new technologies into the fabric of mainstream housing for many years. In embracing new technology and conserving energy and the environment, Banner creates homes which are designed, built and packaged for the 21st century for many of its purchasers, across all price ranges, not just for the privileged few.
This ethos runs throughout the development of each new site and can be seen in its increasing use of basements in the design of many new homes to maximise space and value for each new purchaser.
Privately owned (75% by the Prowting Family and 25% by management), Banner offers the long term commitment of its Directors to create individually designed and expertly crafted new homes for the entire spectrum of home buyers across central and southern England.
