LOS ANGELES–(June 30, 2011)Merlin Olsen’s attorneys have dismissed NBC from the asbestos cancer lawsuit, as evidence has revealed that it was asbestos products, and not Olsen’s employer NBC, who were to blame for his asbestos cancer.

Merlin Olsen was a Hall of Fame football legend, sports commentator, television and movie actor. Olsen was diagnosed with mesothelioma, a cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Olsen’s cancer was caused from a significant cumulative lifetime exposure to many asbestos products, including heavy equipment parts, construction materials used on Hollywood television sets, and numerous other consumer and construction products.
