Beer and Barbecue Fire Up Florida’s Food Festivals in September

B

Treat your family to some finger-lickin’ good fun this month at one of the annual Florida food festivals.

Tampa, FL, August 25, 2008 — Barbecue and beer enthusiasts get their fun in the suds during September’s annual food festivals in Florida. Barbecue competitors can grill or smoke their way to fame and prizes, while beer connoisseurs can sample unique brews from around the world.

“The best thing about Florida’s food festivals is that none of the rules your mother taught you apply,” says Joan Steinbacher, author of “Food Fest! Your Complete Guide to Florida’s Food Festivals.” “You can eat with your hands and put your elbows on the table, wipe your mouth on your sleeve, and lick your fingers before wiping them on your pants. It’s no wonder people love food fests!”

Besides the beer and barbecue, September also plays host to the requisite seafood festivals and “Taste Of” events where you can taste local restaurant signature dishes. And the Epcot Food and Wine Festival kicks off this month for its eleven-week food-lovers extravaganza.

Food festivals are fun for the whole family. So don’t miss out on another fun Florida food event! Here’s what’s coming to Florida in September 2008:
