The BlackBerry Torch 9860 and the HTC Radar are two smartphones aimed at the social user market, both with great social media integration.

 

The BlackBerry Torch 9860 has a 3.7 inch touch screen and is a follow-up to the popular BlackBerry Storm range. It comes with the new BlackBerry 7 operating system, which has some top new features including pinch to zoom and HTML5 video support, all for a smoother internet browsing experience. BlackBerry Balance is included as a brand new feature of the BlackBerry Torch 9860 to keep your work and personal content streams separated, meaning you won’t get confused between messages. The ever popular BlackBerry Messenger service has now been upgraded to version 6 so it’s never been easier to stay up to date with other BlackBerry users.

 

The HTC Radar has full Facebook integration and features the HTC Hub, which means it is simple to group your messages and contacts and instantly access conversation threads, whether they are text messages, social media updates or emails.

 

In terms of camera, the HTC Radar has a 5 megapixel camera with an f2/2 aperture, LED flash and BSI sensor. You can even take panoramic shots by moving the phone across the scene.

The BlackBerry Torch 9860 comes with a 5 megapixel camera with HD recording. This is powered by a 1.2GHz processor and improved graphics processing.

 

The HTC Radar has a 1GHz processor and great gaming ability, including full integration of your games with your Xbox Live account.

 

Clove Technology sell the HTC Radar for £342 including VAT, while the BlackBerry Torch 9860 retails for £418.80 including VAT.
