Ductal Carcinoma: It is also reefed as ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). As the name suggests it is found in the duct tubes. Ducts are the tube supplying the milk to nipples. It is found in 85% to 90% of all cases of beat cancer. The good thing about this type of cancer is that it can be treated well. There are two types of Ductal Cancers:
Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS): This is non-invasive type of ductal carcinoma and remains within the ducts and don’t affect tissues nearby
Invasive Ductal Cancer (IDC): In this type of breast cancer cells spread beyond the area of milk ducts and can reach other organs and body parts like lymph nodes, bones and liver.
Lobular Carcinoma: It is a type of breast cancer which is developed in lobes and glands responsible for producing milk. This is found deep inside the breasts. Only 8% of total breast cancers are Lobular Carcinoma. The treatment of this type of cancer depends upon the size of the tumor. Based on size it can be classified into two type:
Lobular Carcinoma in Situ (LCIS): During this breast cancer the tumor is remained in the same section of lobe called lobule in which it initially started.
Invasive Lobular Cancer (ILC):Lobular Cancer is categorized as invasive if the tissues of surrounding organs like ducts become the part of the tumor.
Inflammatory Breast Cancer: It is one of the rarest types of breast cancer and can spread very fast. It increases the size of the breast but doesn’t for any lump.
Other rare forms of breast cancer: Other far uncommon types of breast cancer include Adenoid cystic carcinoma, Mixed Tumors, Mucinous carcinoma, Breast Sarcomas.
