Car Wash Companies Merge For an Eco Friendly Future

(Tuesday December 18th 2007) Car care companies Aquanought and Car Park Valeting have merged their current business operations to become the UK’s largest independent car wash operator with over 100 franchisees in various locations.

Under a new ‘Eco Friendly’ banner, the business is steadily transforming the way people are having their cars cleaned by using an unique car park car wash system that’s regularly saving customers both time and money.

Aquanoughts initial operations utilised small “green” cars or specially adapted scooters, (which have no congestion charge and don’t have to queue in traffic), to travel between appointments, eco-washing cars at customers workplaces or homes.

As they don’t have to use any water, the saving on the water supply runs into thousands of gallons a day and with many of Car Park Valetings traditional wet wash operations combining both wet and dry washes, this massive saving on precious water supplies will quickly become even higher.

The unique waterless product is manufactured by Aquanought in the UK and has a simple spray-wipe-clean formulation. This trade secret formula means even very dirty cars can be washed without smearing or streaking, leaving a slippery polished finish on the paintwork, a technology first created in America, where, in certain States, vehicles must be cleaned in special dry clean bays, because of water shortages.

“Our existing car wash operators are now becoming car wash technicians” said Alan Crouch, Managing Director of the business. “They are all being extensively trained in this new art of car cleaning and have been astounded at the speed and precision of the service.”

However, not only has Car Park Valeting committed itself to the latest in waterless technology, but all of their products are as environmentally safe as possible and have no immediate effluent impact. This gives every car wash customer the all important piece of mind that they aren’t polluting water supplies, rivers and streams.

But, as eco friendly operatives, Aquanought and Car Park Valeting don’t stop there. They use recycled cloths, which can be tracked from source to future recycling (once used), recycled paper in its marketing materials, recycled plastic in their application bottles and even super silent vacuums and power supplies in many sites where noise pollution was an issue. On many new sites the future waste materials (from vacuuming and cleaning) can then be collected and used to power the machines that make further recyclable materials.

This car wash collaboration now believes that it has created the most eco-friendly mobile and static car wash system in the world and if you are a business owner, you’ll also benefit by using this car cleaning operation on your company vehicles.

You’ll be very aware that under the Water Services Pricing Policy of the Department of the Environment and Local Government, all non-domestic consumers of water are to be charged by Local Authorities for the supply of water and the discharge of waste water. This is in accordance with EU requirements and the “polluter pays policy.”

By merging the businesses, Aquanought and Car Park Valeting intend to take the traditional wash-while-you-shop business model to a different level in terms of customer service and environmental accreditations. This has removed many of the barriers to entry for many supermarkets and shopping centre operations, often restricted by the planning and drainage issues for a wet wash service. The business can now be incorporated into any car park, with fully trained, knowledgeable and courteous technicians within a matter of weeks.

One concern is that removing the dirt and grime from a car without water could scratch the paintwork. “Not so” says Leon Hamlett, Business Development Director for Aquanought Limited “The special polymers in our products secret formula, lift the dirt from the surface, before it’s swept away and polished in one easy motion” said Leon. “You have to see it to believe it.”

One thing is for certain, the current waste of water and lack of control for car wash operators cannot go on indefinitely. Hosepipe bans and waste water regulations will become a continuous problem throughout the country, unless we try to reduce our dependence on this scarce natural resource.

Car Park Valeting franchises are available throughout the UK, to anybody willing to go that “extra mile” for their customers. The amazing products used to wash the cars have been extensively tested throughout the UK.
