Christmas Comes Early for PinkCatShop in 2007

Christmas is still six weeks away but staff at PinkCatShop, a leading UK retailer of fashion accessories, unique gifts and unusual presents, has seen a massive sales boost already which CEO Richard Rhys Davies is putting down to festive fever.

“This summer was such a washout,” he says, “and now we’ve gone into a grey autumn and winter. People are desperate to alleviate the gloom with a bit of colour and pizzazz and that’s PinkCatShop’s metier!”

PinkCatShop was founded on the idea of supplying gifts, presents and accessories to UK customers who valued hip, stylish and colourful items. And that means a lot of us, it seems.

“Everyone is looking for gift ideas which lead them to unusual present purchases this year,” Rhys Davies continues, “no-one wants to be ordinary, we’ve found, and our customer base has grown massively just since the summer.”

As PinkCat’s gnomes rush to fill the orders which are coming in the company is looking confident going into the Christmas Season. Warehouse manager Dimitri Van Damme is relishing the challenge. “Christmas presents are a speciality of ours, stocking fillers and things. We rule with that stuff!”

Key to PinkCatShop’s success has been the decision to put its retail muscle behind Fluff, a hip new line of women’s Fashion accessories from the US. Despite its novelty on these shores Fluff is already generating heavy press interest and was featured in Cosmopolitan’s November 2007 issue in Germany.

“Fluff’s designs are simultaneously retro and stylishly modern. Purses, bags, make-up bags and vanity cases are all selling very well and with the increased press attention we expect another huge sales surge imminently” says Rhys Davies. The company is even looking into some UK exclusives for the line.

“We’re a new kid on the block. But in a few month’s you’ll see PinkCatShop and the Fluff line all over the press.”
