Cleverwood, a Brussels-based new media communications firm, launches its new brand positioning

Cleverwood, a new media communications firm founded in 2007 in Brussels, launched its revamped visual identity and a new web site on July 3, 2012. This is a result of a strategic branding exercise the firm has undertaken since the beginning of 2012.

â??Many consulting firms tend to concentrate on their daily tasks of serving clients, whereas taking a long-term look at their own growth and development strategy takes place less frequently in this industry. Cleverwood has been involved in a strategic branding exercise since January 2012, whereby it identified its core strengths, and made its service offering to clients — present and future– much stronger and better,â? says Olivier Beaujean, Managing Partner of Cleverwood that he co-founded in 2007 with 3 other partners.

According to Caroline Maerten, a partner at Cleverwood, known in the Belgian social media and web circles as @rollingtalks, Cleverwoodâ??s new way of grouping its services into 3 main categories — Consulting, Factory and College — will â??prove meaningful to our existing and new clients.â?

The firmâ??s philosophy from its inception has always been related to finding new ways of using media and new media for the benefit of their clients. As part of the strategic branding project, this philosophy has been refined, to find an expression in a new brand slogan, â??New ways of connecting with your customers.â?

â??Our branding project has served us as an excellent framework for looking at our core value proposition, and improving it. Our main value comes from our know-how of the new media channels and dynamics, as well as the ways in which we deliver our clientsâ?? content to their final customers. Cleverwood acts as an important element which connects our clients with their customers,â? says Olivier Beaujean.

In practice, this means working for such well-known brands as Bosch, Mobistar, bpost and Nestle to develop their brandsâ?? presence across new media, and help them better connect with their final consumers in an interactive way. Or, in a totally different style for the European Commission that is working on ambitious project to find new ways of connecting with their audience, the European citizen.

Cleverwoodâ??s new logo includes a smiley face, which expresses a friendly, informal and entrepreneurial internal culture at the firm.

â??The smiley face is not there by chance,â? says Olivier Beaujean. â??It expresses our highly friendly and collaborative culture. Cleverwood is lucky to have attracted an exceptional team of more than 80 talented consultants who work very well together, and my vision is to continue nurturing our friendly corporate culture also in the future. We want to be perceived as a very good employer.â?
