Troy, Michigan, March 03, 2009 — Men’s fashion Designer William Malcolm of William Malcolm Luxe Collection in partnership with a prominent Metro Detroit area church has launched a mentorship program for young men. The program which is called The Suit Project is an engaging ten week mentorship based program that focuses on self empowerment, educational advancement, entrepreneurship and presenting the word of God to Detroit Michigan area young men ages 18-23. At the completion of the programs curriculum the young men will also receive a tailored suit.
The suits are by no means the focal point of the program. It is the characteristics that the business suit represents that the program wishes to instill in the young men. When a suit is worn in matters of business it represents professionalism, success, achievement and distinction. These attributes along with encouraging the young men to realize their unlimited potential as well as creating an environment that will help them to catapult their dreams to becoming reality are the core emphasis of the program.
The Suit Project will be facilitated by William Malcolm along with several prominent Detroit area businessmen, social workers, educators and entrepreneurs that have all donated their time for this much needed cause. In addition to receiving the tailored suit the young men will also receive the opportunity to develop relationships with individuals that are currently working in fields or careers that the young men have indicated that they want to pursue or explore. This will be achieved though the opportunity to “shadow” the perspective businessmen for a day. The Young Men will also participate in a graduation ceremony and banquette in their honor.
