In the near future we also want to build a drinking water reservoir or a hospital. However, I do want to emphasize that in all construction projects our top priority is to preserve the pristine state of the local nature,” stated the spokesperson for the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park.

People from the local community are intensely involved in the construction of the school, wherby the project supports local employment. The project should be completed at the end of July 2011. The school complex will comprise, of three main buildings, where two largest ones will be primarily used for education. The third connecting building will serve as a gym and its premises will also be used for example to organize various school activities and various performances. The standalone building is intended to serve as accommodation facilities for teachers. The school will also host volunteer teachers from Europe.

About Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park

Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park spans across Mozambique and is one of the largest private African parks. It neighbors and fluently ties into the Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe. The primary objective for the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park is to protect the natural wealth preserved in the area that is practically untouched by humans. Another integral activity of this park is a sensitive, sustainable and long term development of local communities.

Park activities focus on the construction of schools, hospitals, healthcare facilities, water reservoirs or the development of local infrastructure. All these steps are taken with utmost consideration for the environment while respecting the pristine state and beauty of this area.

Currently Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park is looking for other companies, which would get involved in the Community Development Program and help financing of other planned projects.
