About Manulife Lifecheque Basic Critical Illness Insurance:

Manulife will cover the basic medical conditions cancer, stroke, heart attack, coronary bypass surgery and aortic surgery. The Lifecheque Basic plan has level premiums which renew on the 5 year anniversary (renewal rates will be level for each five year period). The plan is renewable to age 75. The Lifecheque Basic plan has a two year pre-existing condition clause and a 30 day wait period (90 for cancer). Although a medical questionnaire is not required, a Declaration of Good Health must be agreed to in order to purchase the Lifecheque Basic plan.
