Prologue is the first section of your thesis. It sets the stage for the information that will be followed in the coming sections.
The following are the basic elements of the History dissertation introduction section:

Now I will define each section in detail:
1) Identification of the thesis question:

In this part of the prologue tell the audience what chief questions your thesis will tackle and how it will fill any investigation gaps. Show your audience that your investigation contributes in the betterment of the field concerned.

Next, provide the reader with a brief description of the thesis content. You have to mention and explain the questions that you are answering in your thesis. Don’t go in to writing intricate details here. Just introduce so that the reader is not confused about what aspect of the subject is covered. In the prologue section of your thesis, in brief inform the reader what you are planning to find by your investigation.
3) A statement identifying the significance of your study:
In the next section, you will describe the significance of the thesis section. You will convince the reader that your suggestions and recommendations are not just part of any fairy tale but can be really effective and can be applied in the field concerned to solve a problem or an issue. By reading this prologue section of the thesis the reader must feel the importance of your thesis.
4) An overview of the upcoming thesis layers:
In the final section you will briefly introduce the sections that follow the prologue. Include all the key points of the sections and include every fundamental aspect of your investigation. Mention clearly what your each section contains, what details will be present, and how you have presented the data.
Preface writing has to be done very carefully. This section is presumed to be a very essential ingredient of every thesis assignment, portraying the first image of the task and guiding the reader’s mind towards the aimed event. It reflects the thesis itself and shows your talent and overall skill of writing.
