eBay meets Twitter with Flipso.com

e

Flipso.com is a service for people who are tired of selling things to strangers on sites like eBay or craigslist. It allows everyone to sell or give away their items to friends or followers through social networks. With a few clicks, users can create a digital sales page that also generates printable leaflets to scan and buy items directly on a smartphone. Flipso is completely free to use and charges no commission.

“I’ve sold hundreds of things on eBay, only to find out shortly after that one of my friends was looking for a similar item. Not only would I have saved myself time and transaction fees, it would have been a much more pleasing experience than selling it to a stranger,” explains Thomas Marban the reason for founding Flipso.

The company is a joint venture by Idealab and tomatic.

To get started with Flipso, there’s no need to download an app. It works on all devices and platforms just by opening flipso.com in the browser.
