New York, NY, October 10, 2008 — The Edcomm Group Banker’s Academy has partnered with The ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) to develop a comprehensive ATM training program. The Edcomm Group Banker’s Academy has been working with ATMIA to transform their ATM documentation into a motivational and educational eLearning experience. Joining forces and combining expertise in their fields, the partnership has produced a program that provides innovative ATM industry education and certification for ATMIA members worldwide. Achieving ATM Operations Excellence will be available on the ATMIA website.

Dr. Linda Eagle, president and founder of The Edcomm Group Banker’s Academy said, “We couldn’t be more excited that our partnership with ATMIA has resulted in such a remarkable course that will surely contribute to the ATM industry. I’ve been confident since the beginning that our experience in educating adult learners, combined with ATMIA’s vast expertise in the ATM field would be successful and rewarding for both parties.”

Achieving ATM Operations Excellence teaches banks the in-and-outs of how to own, operate and protect an ATM. This course provides an introduction to ATMs, the services that they provide, and how to maintain an ATM at a branch. The program teaches bank personnel how to detect and prevent ATM fraud by explaining the importance of ATM security. Achieving ATM Operations Excellence also includes risk management, establishing a business code of conduct and cooperate governance.

The ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) (http://atmia.com/mig/galleryoftechnology/index.cfm?id=16) is a global non-profit trade association with over 1,000 members in 50 countries. ATMIA promotes ATM convenience, growth and usage worldwide, to protect the ATM industry’s assets, interests, good name and public trust. ATMIA also provides education, best practices, political voice and networking opportunities for member organizations. In 2003, ATMIA established the Global ATM Security Alliance (GASA) to employ global security resources in a united alliance in order to protect the ATM industry from criminal activity.
