FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Ensuring Veterans Have a Comfortable Place to Sleep

Philadelphia, PA – September 20, 2011 – Ken Mazda, of America’s Mattress Philadelphia, is no stranger to appreciating those who defend our country.  His youngest son attends West Point, and Ken has decided to give back.

Ken, and the folks at America’s Mattress Philadelphia, heard about the annual fundraising drive in support of the Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service and Education Center, and decided to help.

In order to make life better for the veterans of the Philadelphia area, America’s Mattress Philadelphia offered 25 beds – to be delivered to wherever they are needed.  But Ken Mazda didn’t stop there.

He, and the people at America’s Mattress Philadelphia, offered to donate bedding and pillows as well.  When asked why, Mazda stated, “It’s what they did for us – we aren’t doing anything for them – it’s all about what they did for us.  I’m happy to step up and do this for them…and it’s wonderful.  If we can do more, we will do more.”

Marsha Four, Director the Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service and Education Center, was nearly speechless at Mazda’s kind offer.  “What a wonderful thing to put a veteran in a house…They have nothing – they don’t have a chair to sit on.”

Through the kind and thoughtful efforts of Ken Mazda and America’s Mattress Philadelphia, veterans across the region will have the opportunity to sleep comfortably.
