These visual online walking maps make it easier for participants to locate the exhibitors they want to visit during the tradeshow.

Bend, OR, April 07, 2009 — EventMingle announced today it has added a Java based online exhibit floor mapping application to their popular online social networking platform for the tradeshow industry. These visual online walking maps make it easier for participants to locate the exhibitors they want to visit during the tradeshow.

EventMingle Maps is integrated into EventMingle’s powerful Daily Planner application which allows attendees to build a custom, personal schedule and task list for the events they plan to attend. By integrating the map system into the Daily Planner, all of the exhibitors on the attendee task list are color coded on the map allowing them to create an organized walking map of the exhibitor floor.

For a limited time, EventMingle Maps is being offered FREE to tradeshow producers.

We understand our challenging economy is having a negative impact on the tradeshow industry. In order to help our clients and to introduce our services to potential clients, we’re offering EventMingle Maps FREE to the first one hundred (100) tradeshow producers who sign up to use our EventMingle social networking platform for their event. Email us at [email protected] for details.

For tradeshow producers currently using an online mapping solution today, this special offer allows them to offer a complete online social networking and planning tool for their participants while improving their bottom line.

EventMingle strengthens time and task management for attendees.

Building on the success of our custom Daily Planner application which makes it possible for attendees to build their custom schedule including time based activities (meetings, breakout sessions, exhibitor events) and task based to-do list items (people to meet, products to see, exhibitors to visit) gives attendees a compelling reason to use EventMingle. Custom color coded walking maps give attendees a visual printout of exactly which exhibitors they want to see and makes it very easy for them to plot their route.

“Attendees need a compelling reason to use event-based social networking platforms like EventMingle”, stated Jim Harrer, EventMingle’s cofounder & Director. “Meeting people and business networking isn’t always enough to get people to interact before they leave for a tradeshow. EventMingle helps them organize their time and goals as well. We’ve been building these custom event-based online communities since 2005 and its clear attendees want it all. Our EventMingle Maps application is another step in creating the ultimate online software platform for the tradeshow industry.”

Personalized color coded walking maps for attendees.

EventMingle Maps is a Java based web browser application that works in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Apple’s Safari. The visual map is integrated into EventMingle’s daily planner and exhibitor database which means as attendees add the exhibitors they plan to visit during the tradeshow, their personal map is color coded allowing them to quickly see where they need to walk.

EventMingle Maps includes these additional features:
• Participants can mouse over the map and add exhibitors to their daily planner from the map.
• When participants click on an exhibitor within the map, all of the exhibitor contact information and description is pulled from EventMingle’s exhibitor database.
• EventMingle’s digital product locator is built into the map allowing attendees to highlight all of the exhibitors who offer specific products and services.
• If exhibitors move or the floor plan changes, the participant’s maps are all updated without any additional work on their part.
• Participants can search for exhibitor by name, directly from the map system.
• Participants can print their custom color coded map at any time.
• Exhibitors who purchase the “Featured Exhibitor” ad space are color coded on the map giving them additional exposure.
• For larger shows, we support multiple exhibitor floors, buildings and locations.
• The map system is created by our Professional Services Group using the client’s AutoCAD (.dwg) file.
• Our Professional Services Group maintains your map so it’s one less thing you have to worry about. However, our clients can also maintain the map, if they wish, using our administrative tools.

Exhibitor Locator and Way-Finding System for standalone use.

EventMingle Maps can also be used as an Exhibitor Locator system on our client’s website. Users can browse the exhibit floor and find specific exhibitors based on their name or product categories. The standalone version does not require a user login or access to a specific daily planner.

Clients can set up computer based kiosk centers around the show floor or an internet café to help people find their way around the exhibit hall. As exhibitors update their company information in EventMingle, this information becomes immediately accessible via our integrated map system.
