Here at FactorKing, we are business owners, and so too are our clients in addition to most of our friends and associates. So, we sat down and devised a list of the best business tips we could think of.
Listen To Your Customers
Sounds simple, and you’ve heard it before, but just how much does your decision making truly involve your customers’ expressed wants and desires? Ask them about your product or service, specifially pertaining to your offerings, or generally about your industry or competitors. Actively seek out their opinion by polling them in your Web page, or in an email, or on Facebook or LinkedIN and even just whenever you’re talking to them in person. Offer something in exchange for their time to answer, if appropriate. There are many other ways, just guarantee you’re listening and learning–always. Providing customers with what they want and need only happens when you truly know what those wants and requirements are.
Over Deliver
Are you doing this? A customer who perceives a business as going “above & beyond” is a happy customer. Those customers/clients are likely to not just return time and again, but in addition are more likely to refer you to their friends. So whenever and wherever you can, try to offer the customers what they wish and expect… and then give them some more.
Get Social
Social Media is probably one of those things you hear about on a regular basis, but that you simply can’t seem to fully grasp the relevance of because it pertains to your business. If you employ social media marketing tactics, you’re essentially building a relationship together with your customer BEFORE you even broach the topic of sales. It’s an incredibly effective strategy to present your company.
Get Personal
Depending on the business, some, most, and even all of the contact you could have with customers may be digital or otherwise impersonal. Have a step back and consider some of the best relationships you have got in business. Many are likely to be with people who you speak with, not just email. Getting personal with the customer by speaking with them on the telephone, meeting them face to face one-on-one or at a show or other function, or some other way through which you communicate “humanly” with them, builds a bond which may often get you through a hard time–not to mention get you referrals. A customer who has a bad experience with someone they don’t personally know may find it much easier abandon ship. But if they know-trust-like you, they’re probably likely to stick with you through thick and thin, if you keep the link strong by providing them with value. Don’t forget – your customers have many other options. Foster a relationship that all but eliminates the necessity for them to think about any of these other options.
