Detroit, MI May 23, 2008 – Joseph McClendon, known in the urban music world as Joey Black, finally completed his long awaited UK/US collaboration album, “Across the Pond” with the help of UK’s own producer FatFace. With one solo album and two group projects under his belt, this is a big accomplishment for the Detroit Native. He has received rave reviews from UK’s Hip Hop Connection and in the States.

Joey Black is ready for his album release party; one in the States and one in the UK. Under the management of GMB Records, headquartered near the heart of Motown, his official album release will be June 27, 2008 at Prive Lounge, located in downtown Detroit. His UK album release party is still in the works, and promises to be a show not to miss. There will be performances featuring Fatface and selections from “Across the Pond” and other songs performed by his former group members and influences. His new album will be available in local record stores and on iTunes, along with his previous album, “My Redemption.”
