Free Focus Taster Day with Focus Training

F

Focus Experiential Training would like to cordially invite businesses to attend their free focus Taster Day this summer, giving advice and support to managers wishing to get the best out of their employees.

The Taster Day is due to take place on Wednesday 13th May 2009 located at their beautiful training centre across 360 acres of organic farmland in Bashall Eaves, Ribble Valley, Lancashire.

The Taster Day is aimed at the HR or Management Learning and Development and Directors of businesses who wish to engage in the opportunity to network with likeminded professionals.

The day will provide managers with practical solutions in getting their team engaged and productive in the workplace.

What it will entail

The taster day will be split up into two parts, covering a variation of topics surrounding team work in the work place.

Guests will be greeted by a welcoming introduction to the day, with bacon sandwiches and refreshments for breakfast.

The morning sessions will look at motivation and performance in the work place through indoor experiential activities.

Guests will be encouraged to join in the sessions, looking at different ways people need to be motivated, how to turn ‘Spectators’ in their businesses into ‘Players’ and what Motivation Zappers guests’ businesses could address.

The morning session will also deal with how businesses can raise the performance of their employees, how they can engage their staff and how businesses can develop their staff without putting emphasis on formal training.

At midday, guests will sit down to a two-course home cooked lunch using local ingredients.

The second part of the taster day, allows guests the opportunity to learn more about how Focus short workshops can benefit a manager’s employees and business.

Workshops include,

• Coaching skills course form managers – How to unlock the motivation in people!

• The Leadership Development Pipeline – A short workshop to ensure managers develop and retain their staff in these challenging times.

• ILM Team Leader Training – Empower your team leaders with the skills to manage their own people and improve productivity. Motivate your people by giving them a nationally recognised ILM qualification.

Later on, guests can take part in some of Focus Trainings outdoor experiential activities which are used within the workshops. To bring the learning to life, these are then reviewed and related back to the workplace by expert facilitators with strong industry backgrounds.

As the day comes to a close, the event finishes with an evaluation of all learnt throughout the day, photo opportunities for all guests to be a part of and a closing speech providing details of other training days relevant for guests.

Shelly Posthuma de Boer, Business Development Manager, said, “Numbers are limited this year, so we encourage people to email or fax back the response form to book your places/s as soon as possible.”
