The Bible shows that God determined before the earth was populated whom would be born again and those receiving this new birth are called the church or the Church of Christ
Dealing with Scripture is a funny subject because any and all of us can let our personal biases, opinions and experiences mold how we understand Scripture independent of what is plain to see. In Eph 1:4 the Bible says this “according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love” there are a few key words in this verse that illustrates the point that I am making which obviously is God births us and we don’t birth ourselves. Chosen, before, and foundation are the words that will be defined so as to provide irrefutable clarity on the subject. Chosen is the Greek word eklegomai and it means to select – before is the word pro and it means fore or prior figuratively it can mean superior to – and foundation which is the Greek word katabole and it means a laying down or throw back. Literature translation God has selected the church prior to laying down the world and he did this for the purpose of us being able to stand in front of him faultless in love or in obedience because third John says this is love that we walk after his commandments. The title says God shows favoritism and this Scripture pretty much verifies and justifies the wording of the title. God has already picked out who’s going to the dance and are we to suppose that when rollcall comes around, hence I accept or I do not accept Christ will be an option that God presents to any individual seeing how he has not only already chosen one to salvation but that he also is the living God of the universe the singular most powerful entity there is period without question or equal. The mere fact that I throw in adjectives to drive home my statement is absurdly idiotic because what I had just said is an axiom and really need not be said. When God chooses for salvation there is no humanly possible way any man will mentally refuse the gift because it is not given as a choice but rather administered as a directing head of a government to those entrusted with the task of delivering the truth and they shall deliver as they have been given a gift of the Holy Spirit being born again unto salvation. The church, meaning every individual called by Christ was in the mind of God before God even made an atom to explode and they were going to be called independent of what they thought they would or would not do.
